Un viaggio attraverso il Mozambico, paese uscito nel 1992 da una sanguinosa guerra civile e che oggi dimostra al mondo con orgoglio la sua voglia di vivere, la ricchezza della sua cultura e la sua creatività. Fotografie che spaziano dalle strade e i mercati della sua capitale alle campagne rurali, dai villaggi della provincia di Sofala e del distretto di Caia alle rive del fiume Zambesi dove vivono contadini e pescatori, donne e bambini, insegnanti e studenti. Allo stesso tempo il libro è anche un reportage che dimostra i tanti volti della solidarietà, il lavoro del volontariato e della cooperazione – letteralmente “co-operazione” – costruire assieme: juntos, come dicono in Mozambico. Un viaggio che testimonia l’amicizia fra due popoli e due territori al di là dei confini geografici e storici: dall’Italia all’Africa e dal Trentino a Caia. 

A voyage through Mozambique, a country that survived a bloody civil war in the Nineties and now, in peace, proudly shows the world its will to live, the richness of its culture and its creativity. Photos that range from the streets and markets of the capital to the rural countryside, from the villages of the Sofala province and the Caia district to the banks of the River Zambesi, all peopled with farmers and fishermen, women and children, teachers and students. At the same time, the book is also a reportage demonstrating the many facets of solidarity, volunteer work and cooperation, literally, co-operation, or juntos as they say in Mozambique. It is the testimony of a friendship going beyond geographic and historical confines: from Italy to Africa, and from Trentino to Caia.
